Boats were out before the sun was up Saturday, August 22, to honor Tom Gibson. The Watson Fire Department’s annual fishing contest is now Tom Gibson’s Memorial Fishing Tournament.

Nichole Wallace, Corbin Wallace and Bob Wallace hauled in a nice catch during Tom Gibson’s Memorial Fishing Tournament. Bob won first place with a 23.30 pound blue cat and won $295. He donated his prize back to the fire department. Jody Ellison won second place with a 16.86 pound carp. He won $177 and also donated it to the fire department. Clint Stoner won third place and $118 with a 15.54 pound blue cat.
