Rock Port (RP) started the season Friday, August 28, with a win ov er the DeKalb Tigers at Blue Jay Stadium. The final score was 46-0.

Rock Port won the opening toss and elected to receive. With the ball at midfield the Jays would run two plays before runningback Joey Herron would take it around the end and find the end zone for six points. Herron’s two point attempt was good making the score 8-0. From this point on the Blue Jays would not look back as they rolled past the Tigers to end the game on their first option of the second half.

The Jays travel to Barnard to take on Platte Valley next Friday.
