East Atchison Fall Homecoming will be held Friday, September 18, 2020. The Wolves Football Team will host DeKalb that night at the football field in Fairfax at 7:00 p.m. Homecoming royalty will be crowned at the game.

Tarkio Fall Homecoming Royalty includes: queen candidates – Cheyenne Gray, Brynnan Poppa, Ella Rolf, and Bryli Staten; king candidates – Hunter Bennett, Thomas Danielson, Jordan Graf, and Grant Turnbull; and attendants – Sophia Martin and Bo Graves (juniors); Marvelina Bradley and Daniel Lesher (sophomores); and Brooklyn Wennihan and Linkin Murry (freshmen).
PARADE
Due to COVID-19 concerns, there will not be a public presence at the festivities this year and the normal homecoming parade down Main Street will not take place. Only a fire truck, police car, the band, homecoming royalty and attendants and the fall sports participants will be in the parade (no floats).
The modified parade will take place around the Tarkio High School campus leading to the football field for the pep rally.
The elementary students and staff will only watch the parade from their front lawn and will not participate in the pep rally. All others will be on the east lawn and then fall in behind the parade and follow to the field for the pep rally.
FAIRFAX HOMECOMING ACTIVITIES
Dress-Up Days at Fairfax R-3 are: Monday – Pajama Day; Tuesday – Favorite Breakfast Food Day; Wednesday – Tie Dye Day; Thursday – Class Color Day (seniors – black, juniors – blue, sophomores – red, freshmen – white, 8th graders – purple, 7th graders – yellow, elementary – orange, and staff – green); and Friday – EA Spirit Attire
TARKIO HOMECOMING ACTIVITIES
• The Tarkio Homecoming theme is EA Homecoming 2020: Breakfast of Champions.
• Students will be painting downtown businesses to be judged on artistic ability and school spirit: seniors – Farmers State Bank; juniors – Post Office; sophomores – Avalanche; freshmen – ABY Fitness; 8th graders – Hurst Law Office; and 7th graders – Soaks em Clean Laundry.
• Students will create class banners to hang in the hallways to be judged. The banners will be decorated to go along with the theme: seniors – Trix; juniors – Fruity Pebbles; sophomores – Captain Crunch; freshmen – Cinnamon Toast Crunch; 8th graders – Frosted Flakes; and 7th graders – Lucky Charms.
• Dress-up Days and Class Competitions are still happening, but all competitions will take place on the east lawn: Monday – Pajama Day and Egg Toss; Tuesday – Scrabble Day (wear a letter on your shirt) and Tug of War; Wednesday – Class Colors (7th – purple; 8th – blue; 9th – red, 10th – orange; 11th – gray; and 12th – black) and Chubby Bunny (who can stuff the most marshmallows in their mouth); Thursday – Old School and Wolf Wrap (mummy wrap); Friday – Wolf Spirit Attire and Parade and Pep Assembly.
