The East Atchison Lady Wolves competed in the Nodaway-Holt Volleyball Tournament Saturday, September 19, 2020. The girls played hard and came home with the second place trophy.

EA faced off with Union Star in their first match of the competition, winning 25-17 and 25-16. Individual EA stats include: Natalie Hedlund – 1 ace, 4 kills, 1 block, 1 dig; Sophia Martin – 3 aces, 2 kills, 3 digs; Cheyenne Gray – 3 kills; Olivia Morris – 2 aces, 5 digs; Brynnan Poppa – 12 assists, 7 digs; Ella Rolf – 7 kills, 4 digs; Emilee Caudill – 1 ace, 2 assists, 2 digs.

In the second match-up, EA played Rock Port, winning 25-19 and 25-16. In the third and final match of the tournament, EA faced St. Joseph Christian for the championship. Unfortunately, EA fell to the Lady Lions 6-25 and 17-25, earning second place. The East Atchison volleyball teams hosted St. Joseph Christian Tuesday evening, September 15, at the TAC in Tarkio.

The EA junior high team lost to the Lady Lions in two of three games with final scores of 25-21, 7-25 and 8-25. Individual EA stats follow: Grace Oswald – 1 ace; Jillian Hannah – 1 ace; Lizzie Schlueter – 1 ace; Payton Woodring – 2 kills; Teagen Wennihan – 1 ace, 3 kills; Alyson Wooten – 1 ace, 1 assist, 1 kill.

The EA varsity had a tough time with the Lady Lions and fell in three games with final scores of 18-25, 21-25, and 15-25. The Lady Wolves’ overall record stands at 6-2 and their 275 Conference record is 3-0.
