Cub Scout Webelos (4th and 5th graders) joined Tarkio Boy Scouts for a day and evening of fun at a campout. Scouts learned about ax, bow saw and pocketknife safety. Ax sharpening and chopping demonstrations were performed and scouts were allowed to take turns chopping in the “ax yard.” Campfire meals and stories were part of the fun. (Matt Schlueter photo)
