Tarkio, Westboro, and Fairfax

The Tarkio/Westboro Ministerial Alliance has launched its annual “Adopt-a-Child” Christmas program. This year, Tarkio will be handling the adoptions for Fairfax also. Applicants should apply through Community Services this year. The “Adopt-a-Child” program is a way to provide assistance for families who have found themselves in a situation that hinders them from providing for Christmas.

Qualified families or individuals may apply for adoption through Monday, November 16, at 12:00 noon. No applications will be taken after that date (no exceptions). Call Community Services at 660-736-4646 to set up an appointment for application You must call ahead.

Rock Port

The Rock Port Ministerial Alliance is again sponsoring the Adopt-A-family program and your help is needed.

At the present time, there are 25 children on the list.  Each of their 11 families will need a food basket, and there are eight elder food baskets that need to be filled. The list will be updated weekly through the newspaper and daily on the Rock Port Ministerial Alliance Facebook page.

To “adopt” one or more children or to provide a food basket, visit the Rock Port United Methodist Church office, which is open Monday- Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. You can also contact the church at 660-744-2101 or email methch@rpt.coop. Drop off will be December 9.
