At the regular Tarkio Board of Aldermen meeting Wednesday, October 14, 2020, Tarkio Po-lice Chief Tyson Gibbons accepted recognition for a grant funding application utilized to purchase a new in-car camera from the insurance group MIRMA in the amount of $1,593.00, 54% for the project. The new in-car camera will provide and enhance the current body-worn camera and in-car camera program already in place for the police department, which lends continual safety, security, and transparency for the department.
Jeff Arp of MIRMA presented the award. Jeff assisted Chief Gibbons during the application and processing period. Jeff, who is seen regularly around Tarkio City Hall throughout the year, is an intricate part of the city’s loss prevention and safety oversight.
