The Tarkio Police Department announced that recently in the neighboring cities and county jurisdictions, vehicle break-in have been on the rise. Cars and trucks are being ransacked for cash, change, and valuables of any kind. A lot of vehicle windows have been smashed to gain entry to steal the valuables.

So remember, do not leave tablets, phones, laptops in bags, purchases, firearms, valuables of any kind in your vehicle overnight outside, locked or unlocked. Predators are lurking and Tarkio could be the next target. Protect your belongings with proactive preventative measures.
