Turkey time is near, and all the children in Ms. Amy’s and Ms. Katie’s class at Atchison County Head Start are overly excited to help their parents cook the perfect turkey. Below you will find just exactly how it will be done in each household.

Gary – Get a turkey from my room. Cook it in the oven until it’s hot. Cool it for your mouth.

Brayten – Buy a turkey. Cook it in the oven for 254 minutes. The oven should be really hot. Put salt in the turkey. Get it out of the oven and put it on the plate. Eat it.

Gentry – Go to WalMart and get a turkey. Put the turkey on a pan and put it in the oven and shut the door. Put the oven on really hot. Put strawberries, and bananas and ice cream on it. Cook it for 30 minutes and take it out of the oven and eat it. We share with our friends and set out other stuff too.

Declan – Get a turkey from the oven and cook it. The turkey will be hot and can burn us.

Briggs – Get a turkey at the beach. Cook it in the kitchen in the microwave for 5 minutes. Put the microwave on 7. Get the turkey out and eat it.

Cooper – Get a turkey at McDonald’s. Cook it at mom’s in the oven. Leave it in the oven for 7 hours.

Giovanni – Get a turkey at Casey’s. Put it on the stove. It should be really hot so you can cook it. It stays cooking a long time. Then get it off the stove and eat it.

Brendan – Get a turkey at work. Put it in the kitchen in the oven. Put the oven on really really really hot. It will get really hot. Then put it on the plate so we can eat it.

Caiden – Cook it in the kitchen.

Cesar – Mommy cooks it in the kitchen.

Kinley – Get a turkey from the bathroom. Cook it in the kitchen. Cook it on the door. Put it on the table.
