As we are in the middle of Christmas season, running here and there to buy presents, going to school and business parties, getting together with family members, wrapping presents, wearing masks, washing our hands, and trying to social distance, we need to slow and stop, take a breath, sit down and remember the real Reason For The Season!

Many gifts will be exchanged, but a gift is not a gift until it is received by the recipient. God has given us a gift, a gift of His Son, Jesus Christ! Many will turn in the Bible to the story of the birth of Jesus Christ and many messages will be centered around the birth, but I would like us to turn to Luke 9:23, where Jesus asks His disciples, “Who do you say that I am?” That is probably the most important question that has ever been asked. “Who do you say that Jesus is to you?”

I’m not going to mention the common responses to this question, but I am going to make a bold statement. If you CAN NOT say that one of the responses to this question is that Jesus is your personal savior and Lord, this is where you need to start.

As I have mentioned before, God has given us a gift in His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus was born and His goal was to die on the cross for all of our sins. The ultimate sacrifice. If you haven’t, you need to receive this gift, the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

God bless all of you this Christmas season!
