Private pesticide applicator training and ag updates will be conducted using Zoom this year. The training will be conducted in two groups with multiple counties. The first is scheduled for Tuesday, February 9, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Atchison, Holt, Nodaway, Platte, and Clay counties are targeted for this event. Registration can be made by https://extension.missouri.edu/events/private-pesticide-applicator-training-ag-update-for-atchison-holt-platte-and-clay-counties. Nodaway County will have a face to face meeting with COVID restrictions, so contact that office for more information.

The next meeting is Thursday, February 11, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with Buchanan, Clinton and Andrew counties scheduled. Registration can be made by: https://extension.missouri.edu/events/private-pesticide-applicator-training-buchanan-clinton-and-andrew-counties.

Those who want to renew and do not want to participate in the Zoom meeting can contact their local Extension office and request a study guide. Many applicators who attended past training can use that manual to help them complete the study guide. If you do not have a manual, you can purchase a manual online or from your local Extension office. The study guide contains a multiple-choice questions. Once completed, it can be returned and the certification form or recertification form can be completed and also returned to your local office or emailed to flanaryw@missouri.edu.

Following the private applicator training, Extension field specialists will be sharing 15-minute topics in the areas of ag business, agronomy, livestock and ag engineering for the ag update program. Those attending the PAT training are not required to participate in the ag update.
