Atchison County high school athletes will begin spring sports next week. EA baseball will play Maryville JV at Tarkio Monday, March 22, at 4:30 p.m. EA high school track will take part in the Worth County Early Bird Thursday, March 25, at 3:30 p.m. Rock Port boys’ golf team will compete in Mound City Wednesday, March 24, at 4:00 p.m. The Blue Jay track team’s first competition of the season is Tuesday, March 30, at 3:30 p.m. at Auburn.

The first day of spring is Saturday, March 20. It’s supposed to be a bit warmer than it has been this week. Let’s hope it stays nice.
