Hope is a word that human beings hang on to as we need something outside of ourselves to become whole. In the beginning God gave humanity perfection within us. In breaking away from God, humanity has created a void within our hearts and since that time we have been seeking to fill this void with many different things of this world. Those of us who are feeling the void in our hearts, the loneliness of brokenness seeks not repair what is fractured.

Those of us who are seeking to become whole are offered a place at Jesus’ table. No matter who you are you have a Heavenly Father who loves you more than words can express. The Lord wants good for His children and He offers that in the way of grace and the Holy Spirit. Jesus, knowing the only way to reconcile the hearts of the people to God, sacrificed Himself as the only sinless person to walk in the world. That sacrifice has paid the price to overcome all the brokenness of the world.

1 John 3:2-3 says: Beloved, we are God’s children now; what we will be has not yet been revealed. What we do know is this: when He is revealed, we will be like Him, for we will see Him as He is. And all who have this hope in Him purify themselves, just as He is pure.

It is our belief in Jesus Christ that overcomes any sin that is in us; therefore, we should not be concerned with how to condemn people for the sin that is in their life, passing judgement that is reserved for God. Instead, it is for us to live into the wholeness that Christ has brought into our lives knowing that we did nothing to earn this grace but that it is our mighty savior, the Prince of Peace, who has paid the price for every sin.
