The Rock Port Tourism Board has resumed the hunt for a logo to represent Rock Port. In conjunction with the official community-wide contest, the Tourism Board is holding a weekly prize drawing for all school age children who submit their creative logo artwork.

Everyone is encouraged to submit their ideas and designs; all ages are encouraged to participate. There will be several prizes and giveaways for those who submit designs. Submissions are now being accepted. Once the submission window has closed, voting will go as follows:

• Top 10 – the Rock Port Tourism Board will narrow submissions down to 10 finalists

• Top 3 – voting will be opened to the citizens of Rock Port to narrow submission to three finalists

• Winning Submission – the Rock Port Board of Aldermen will choose the winning submission

During the voting process, all submissions will be anonymous until after the winning submission is revealed. Once voting is complete, the Tourism Board is hopeful an event to announce the winners can be held, dependent on current social distancing recommendations.

SUBMITTING A DESIGN

All participants must send their submission to the Tourism Board either by email (rockporttourism@yahoo.com) or in person to City Hall. Include the artist’s name, address, and contact information. Ages can also be included, if desired. Entering a submission gives the City of Rock Port permission to display these artworks on the City website and Facebook pages. The winning submissions will become the property of the City of Rock Port and will not be returned to the individuals who submitted them, so please retain a copy for your own records if desired.

PRIZES

The finalists’ prizes will be as follows: $1,000, first place; $500, second place; $250, third place.
