The Community Hospital Auxiliary met on April 15, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. in the Community Hospital-Fairfax Conference Room in Fairfax, Missouri. President Merylan Lowrey opened the meeting followed by all members reciting the Auxiliary Prayer. The secretary and treasurer’s reports were approved as presented.

The Bake Sale Committee reported that the spring sale was well attended and very successful. Everyone’s support of this annual event is very much appreciated.

Marilyn Alldredge reported that more of the Sunshine Gift Shop volunteers are coming back following their absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic. New volunteers are also beginning to help in the shop. With the extra help, the shop should begin to get back to regular days and hours. It was announced that the Gift Shop will be open until 8:00 p.m. on April 29 for Shop Atchison County Day/Night.

The Sunshine Committee reported that 15 “thinking of you” notes were sent out to some of our members wishing them a happy spring and Easter. A couple of thank you notes were received by the auxiliary and were shared with the group.

The volunteer work list was passed around for members to sign up for the spring plant sale to be held on April 29 from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the hospital conference room. Due to the extended hours on the 29th for Shop Atchison County Day/Night, it was suggested that there may need to be more plants on hand.

Tray favor crafts were made following the meeting. The next regular meeting will be on Thursday, May 18, at 1:30 p.m. The board will meet at 11:30 a.m. prior to the regular meeting. Anyone wishing to join us at the regular meeting is welcome to attend.
