The Wellness Commitee and Tarkio R-I Schools hosted a Bike-to-School event on Wednesday, May 5, 2021, at the Tarkio Activity Center parking lot. Kids were invited to bring their bikes and ride for a set amount of time. Laps were counted and ribbons given for first, second, and third place. Overall prizes were drawn as well for a bike helmet and bike lights.

The Tarkio Fire De-partment also joined in the fun by helping check and airing up the bike tires, tightening chains and doing any seat adjustments needed.

Preschoolers – Liam Maddox and Emmett Reeves

2nd and 3rd graders – Graceyn Reeves (1st), Landon Scott (3rd), and Mame Dow (2nd)

4th and 5th graders – Keely Bredensteiner (2nd tie), Makenna Caudill (1st tie), Teagan Taylor (1st tie), Ben Rolf (1st tie), Caroline Powell (1st tie), Leila Brooks (2nd tie), Colton Rightsell, and Emily Smith (3rd).
