The high school concert band performed “At Morning’s First Light” and “Siege.”
The eighth grade chorus, directed by Mrs. Abby Palmer and accompanied by Richard Boettner, performed at the spring concert.
The Rock Port Music Department presented its spring concert Monday, May 3. The fifth grade beginning band and sixth grade intermediate band performed at 6:00 p.m., followed by the eighth grade chorus, high school chorus, junior high band, and high school concert band. Mrs. Abby Palmer is director, Richard Boettner was accompanist, and RyAnne Herron is the student director.
The fifth grade beginning band performed “Banana Boat,” “La Bamba,” “Theme from Orpheus In the Underworld,” “Boogie Blues,” and “When the Saints Go Marching In.” The fifth grade beginning band includes: flute – Alyssa Brion, Logan Kish, Jessa Geib, and Jaylynn Jones; alto saxophone – Cooper Daugherty; trumpet – Logan Ellis, Rylan Hunter, Lily Shineman, Talyn Amthor, Wyatt Huntley, Brandon Athen, and Audrie Meyerkorth; trombone – Karlie Gebhards, John Gillem, and Jaysen Hudson; baritone – Levi Lucas; and percussion – Aidan Smyser, Kennedi Seiter, Reid Ellis, and Bentley Teten.
The sixth grade intermediate band played the following songs: “El Capitan,” “Sailor’s Song,” “Minuet,” “A Royal Fanfare,” and “Big Rock Candy Mountain.” Band members are: flute – Lily Wilroy and Mya Welch; clarinet – Audrey Dougherty and Landrey Kelly; alto saxophone – Desmond Chaney; trumpet – Brylea Shrader; baritone – Gabe Gebhards; percussion – Jadyn Geib, Izac Hurst, Sophia Storm, and Jordan Kuhns.
The eighth grade chorus sang “Howdidow, Deediddleumday,” “Walk Through Life” featuring Jakobie Hays on percussion, and “Cangoma.” Chorus members are: soprano – Lilly Pankau, Stevie Pritt, Caitlyn Casey, Claire Spiegel, Arianna Shimmel, Hadleigh Jones, and Jayme McEnaney; alto – Avery Meyerkorth, Sienna Harmon, Addison Maifeld, Malachi Skillen, Bayleigh Cooper, Makaila Pruett, Jaylynn Garst, Cali Driskell, and Payten Shrader; baritone – Kendan Melton-Davis, Ryder McCown, Jaymes Herron, Zane Cook, Quentin Leseberg, Trenton Wallace, Corbyn Jakub, Anden Cohn, Jakobie Hays, Ryan Lucas, Caleb Palmer, Aricin Weber, Bracton Cook, Ryan Athen, Ryland Garst, and Seth Gubser.
The high school chorus sang “Be A Light” and “Found/Tonight.” High school chorus members are: soprano – RyAnne Herron; alto – Raegan Sticken, Kylie Beasing, and Taylor Pruett, baritone – Ryan Paris, Brentyn Herron, and Corwyn Herron.
The junior high band performed “Siege” and “Crazy Train.” Band members are: flute – Pooja Patel and Lilly Pankau; clarinet – Avery Meyerkorth, Addison Maifeld, and Claire Spiegel; alto sax – Jaymes Herron; trumpet – Ryan Lucas, Tayden Cook, Quentin Jackson, Ryland Garst, and Gabe Struthers; baritone – Ryder Herron; percussion – Emma Teten, Jakobie Hays, Dylan Lair, Jadyn Lawrence, Anden Cohn, and Arianna Shimmel.

The junior high and high school bands combined to perform the closing number, “A Million Dreams.”
