This year, Tarkio Elementary students were challenged to pick a passion project to support a cause they care about. Fourth grader Josh Schlueter decided to raise money for a vitals machine for Community Hospital-Fairfax. He ordered, sold, planted and delivered over 50 flats of plants raising over $1,000. He delivered the check to Sam Grist at the hospital on Thursday, May 13, 2021. The Passion Projects is a Tarkio Elementary class taught by Cindy Rolf that teaches the children to organize, plan, be creative and think of others! (Ann Schlueter photos)
