The Heartland Riders Chapter of the Christian Motorcyclists Association met its goal of $15,000 for the annual Run for the Son through its fundraising efforts of a garage sale, Pizza Ranch community night, and church visits. Thanks to the generosity of the public, CMA will be able to present a motorcycle to a pastor in the chapter’s name to spread the gospel in the USA and around the world.
The Heartland Riders are involved in community and county events, such as the Tarkio Rodeo Parade and Car/Bike Show, the Fairfax Fair, Old Fashioned Saturday Night, and Lord’s Acre Day. At Christmas, the group puts together food boxes for seniors in the county and serves weekly meals to the staff at Atchison County EMT.
