Dear Editor,

Taking flowers from vases at the graves of our loved ones in the cemetery, in this case the Home Cemetery, Tarkio, Mo., is called “STEALING.” The Bible plainly states, “Thou shall not steal.” The flowers, beautiful red, white, and blue ones, were intended for not only Memorial Day, but also for July 4th, and “Hubby’s Birthday,” as family is still mourning the losses of our loved ones. Flowers were meant to be part of our healing process for the family. Thanks to someone “uncaring” the vases were empty for the 4th and “Hubby’s Special Birthday.”

Would the guilty party/parties PLEASE return all eight of them – including the six blue ribbons and two yellow ribbons or reimbursement costs of replacement of nearly $100. If you are too embarrassed to face me, you may leave it at Davis Funeral Home or Minter Funeral Chapel for me.

I’m praying for your soul. Be assured, God will justly reward you for your actions. It may or may not be pleasant, depending on your repentance and/or restitution.
