The Atchison County Development Corporation (ACDC) board met July 21, 2021. Board members present were Bob Alldredge, Jeff Meyer, Lori Seymour, Roger Martin, Eryn Stepp, and Craig Corken. Monica Bailey, director, and Carol Clark, administrative assistant, were also present.

The June meeting minutes were approved.

The June financials were approved as presented.

Board members voted to open an 18-month CD for $55,000 at Citizens Bank & Trust. Signers on the account will be Alldredge, Corken, Seymour, and Bailey.

Director Report

• ACDC continues to provide support to Tarkio Renewal, especially with processing their Property Improvement Grant.

• Business Improvement Program update: Basic Grant, $5,041 available; 2.0 grant, $4,246 available.

• Applications for 2021-2022 Youth Beautification Grant projects are due August 31.

• Bailey has created an inventory of empty buildings on Main Street in Tarkio and Rock Port and will do so for Fairfax next.

• Bailey was re-elected to the Missouri Economic Development Council Board of Directors at the annual meeting in June.

New Business

• ACDC’s annual meeting will be held Wednesday, September 22, in Tarkio. The group discussed awardees.

• The group also discussed board member replacement.
