Students in Atchison County will be returning to school next week for the 2021-22 school year. Registration for students in all three schools was held last week.
FAIRFAX R-3
The Back-To-School Night and Title 1 Meeting will be Thursday, August 19.
Classes will begin Monday, August 23, 2021, at 8:05 a.m. and will dismiss that day at 12:18 p.m. (breakfast will be served from 7:40-8:05 a.m. and the students will also be served lunch).

TARKIO R-I
Open house for all students will be held Monday, August 23, 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Students’ first day of school will be Tuesday, August 24, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Breakfast will be served from 7:30-7:55 a.m. and lunch will also be served).

ROCK PORT R-II
“Meet Your Teacher Night” will be held Monday, August 23, 5:00-6:00 p.m. The Rock Port Rotary Club will host their welcome back-to-school picnic in the cafeteria, 5:00-6:15 p.m.
Seventh grade orientation and orientation for new students in grades 7-12 will be held Monday, August 23, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the south gym.
The new school year begins Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at 8:00 a.m. with an early dismissal at 12:05 p.m. Regular school days will begin at 8:00 a.m. and dismiss at 3:07 p.m.
