The Atchison County Commission met Thursday, August 19, 2021, and Tuesday, August 24, 2021. Present at each meeting were: Presiding Commissioner Curtis Livengood, South District Commissioner Richard Burke, North District Commissioner Jim Quimby, and Susette Taylor, Clerk of the Commission.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

Bills were reviewed and approved.

Adam Meyer, Road and Bridge Supervisor, was in to meet with the commission. He reported that he and Commissioner Quimby will meet with representatives from the Invenergy on Friday to inspect roads within the Outlaw project area.

Rhonda Wiley, Emergency Management/E-9-1-1 Director, was in to report that Larry and Patti Hecker’s property was now in compliance with the flood plain ordinance.

Collector Diane Livengood was in to request an abatement on tax sale property 5005-15-001220, Peters & Peters. The amount requested for abatement was $112.26. The commissioners voted unanimously to approve the abatement.

Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.

Bills were reviewed and approved.

Clerk Taylor reviewed sales tax and CART revenue numbers with The commission, for discussion on setting the 2021 ag rock levy rate. It will be voted on at the Thursday meeting of the commission.

The commission left to attend the Graves-Chapple Field Day.
