
Jerry Crawford, Fairfax, was recently named Manager of the Year, and the Shenandoah, Iowa, store was named Store of the Year.
Earl May Seed and Nursery Company recently named Jerry Crawford Manager of the Year at its annual fall get-away held at Lake of the Ozarks. Jerry is the manager at the Earl May Garden Center located at 301 South Fremont Street, Shenandoah. The Shenandoah Earl May Garden Center was also named Store of the Year.
“Each year Earl May honors a manager who is well respected in their community and looked up to by their peers,” said CEO Darrell Ross. “To be considered for this award the store manager must meet and exceed individual store goals in sales and profitability.”
“Jerry has been with the company since 2009. He started in our Green Goods Distribution Center, became Assistant Manager of the Shenandoah Earl May Garden Center in 2010, and was promoted to manager in December of 2012,” Ross continued. “Over the years he has shown strong leadership and vision for individual, store, and company growth. His ability to assemble and lead a team were key in his receiving these honors.”
Jerry resides in Fairfax, Missouri, with his wife, Melissa. Together they have six children and two grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time on their family farm.
