The Pitch Club met September 14, 2021, at Martha’s B & B in Fairfax, Missouri, with all members present. It was my day, winning high score. Susan Braams had second high and Pam Cooper, low. Lots of tempting snacks were available and I enjoyed them all. Janell McQuinn was hostess and served a pumpkin spice cake topped with whipped cream. It was the perfect dessert for the upcoming fall season.

I  had  to  leave  early  so I called several members to see what topics of conversation came up. No one could remember anything important, just pets and kids. I think that’s about as important as it gets, or maybe it should be kids and pets. I always remember my elders saying that “No news is good news,” so I am assuming we will all be together again in two weeks to win or lose our quarters.
