Aaron Schlueter recently visited the Tarkio Rotary Club and spoke on his attendance at RYLA.

Aaron Schlueter, Tarkio High School senior, was the guest speaker at the October 5, 2021, meeting of the Tarkio Rotary Club. Aaron was able to attend RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Academy) in July at CMSU in Warrensburg, Missouri. The attending students were from all over the state of Missouri. Aaron noted most were from larger schools than Tarkio.

The students practiced leadership skills, team building and communication skills. Each small group had to select, plan and prepare a group service project. Aaron’s group chose a literacy project to promote reading among middle school students.
