The 81st annual Lord’s Acre Festival was held October 9 and 10, 2021, in Westboro, Missouri. Results from the events held on Saturday, October 9, follow:

PARADE CONTEST

Best Float – American Legion Auxiliary

Best Small, Motorized Vehicle – 1st place, Isabelle Peregrine, Korynn Peregrine, and Kylie Feltner, “Harvesting for God and Country”; 2nd place, Holden Bruce, camo four-wheeler; and 3rd place, Hallie Riggins, motorized minibike.

Also participating in the parade were George Laur and Jim Morrison. Both men attended the first Lord’s Acre Day Festival.

OTHER CONTESTS

Best Decorated Pet – Josie King, chihuahua pumpkin

Cake Contest – Adults – Scratch German Chocolate Cake, Pat Martin; Scratch Angel Food Cake, Mildred Morrison; Scratch Butter Cake, Dave Cerven; Youth Over 12 – Josie King, 1st place Decorated; Drew Sanders, 2nd place Decorated; and Youth Under 12 – four-way tie, Linley Hogue, Owen Bruce, Holden Bruce, and Nola Bruce.

Baby Show (only one baby participated) – Maverick Hoover, son of Amber and Jeff Hoover, Cutest Baby

Horseshoe Tournament – 1st place, Shane McNaughton and Shannon Wiley; and 2nd place, Charlie Finley and Jennifer Feltner
