The Rock Port National Honor Society held an induction ceremony for new members October 13, 2021, at the high school.

New inductees are Aidan Burke, Anneliese Clauson, Morgan Cofer, Phillip Herron, Jarrett Hunter, Brecken Kelly, Caleb Lucas, Mikayla Makings, Kylie Nuckolls, and Colten Stevens.

The 2021-22 officers are: Kierstyn Jakub, president; Tayleigh Huntley, vice-president; Aubrey Watkins, secretary; Macie Hale, treasurer; Holden Farmer, Student Council Representative; Angylena Owens, Historian; and Kate Ottmann, Reporter/Public Relations.

Mrs. Megan Bebb, NHS Advisor, welcomed all in attendance and Tayleigh Huntley led everyone in a prayer. Mrs. Abby Palmer and the Blue Jay Choir provided entertainment.

Kierstyn Jakub gave the introduction. Angylena Owens spoke about scholarship. Aubrey Watkins discussed service. Macie Hale detailed leadership. Kate Ottmann talked about character. Kierstyn Jakub and the new inductees recited the pledge. Holden Farmer discussed keeping a don’t quit attitude. Kierstyn Jakub closed the meeting. Refreshments were enjoyed in the commons area.
