The Atchison County Development Corporation (ACDC) board met October 13, 2021. Present were: Bob Alldredge, Jeff Meyer, Lori Seymour, Eryn Stepp, Craig Corken, W.C. Farmer, and Jill Davis, board members; Monica Bailey, director; and Carol Clark, administrative assistant.
Lori Seymour called the meeting to order.
The August meeting minutes were approved.
Board members approved the August and September financials as presented.
Director Report
• Bailey joined the group in welcoming new board member, Jill Davis.
• The annual meeting on September 22 went well with around 65 in attendance.
• Business Improvement Program update: Basic Grant, $3,041.05 available; and 2.0 grant, $4,246 available.
• Careers on Wheels will be held Friday, October 15. Bailey is expecting 13 business participants and 75 Atchison County freshmen.
• #ShopAC, ACDC’s annual countywide shop local event, is scheduled for Thursday, November 18. (It is always the Thursday before Thanksgiving).
• Youth Professionalism Workshop for juniors will be held Monday, November 22, in Tarkio.
New Business
A nonprofit request was discussed and tabled until further information can be acquired. Bailey will be in touch with the applicant.
The meeting was then adjourned.
