It’s hard to believe we are already done with the first quarter! We have been able to resume normal schedules in virtually all academic and extracurricular activities. Classroom teachers and staff have been busy creating safe and effective learning environments. Fall sports will be wrapping up over the next couple of weeks and winter sports will be on us in no time! RPHS student organizations have been able to get back to normal routines and community service outreach projects.

Dr. Aron Burke and Mason Sheldon were featured in our “Drug & Alcohol Awareness” assembly. NHS was able to have their regular induction ceremony. FBLA is working hard on the “Buckle Up, Phone Down” initiative. FFA has been gearing up for contests. FCCLA is beginning to work on their STAR events. RPHS band has had several busy Saturdays performing well at various parades. Cross country runners are fine tuning for districts; the volleyball girls look to have a successful district tournament as the #1 seed; and the football team is hoping to secure a bye or a first round home game for districts.

RPHS is still looking to shore up a couple needs for the spring. We are still looking for a high school track coach. With the addition of baseball, I am hoping to get some local umpires certified to work home games. The pay is very competitive, and I will help with getting the proper credentials through MSHSAA.
