The Blue Jays traveled to Oregon, Missouri, on Friday night to take on the South Holt Knights in a game that would be a nail biter. South Holt would start the game with the ball on the 28 yard line. The Knights would take the opening drive down the field and score first. Rock Port would answer back on the following kick-off as Aidan Burke would take it all the way back for a touchdown. It was a back and forth game with the Jays going into the half with a 28-14 lead.

South Holt would make adjustments at half-time and at the end of the third quarter the score was tied at 28-28. With 5:28 left in the fourth quarter Rock Port would once again tie the game up at 34 all. The Knights would take the final kick-off of the night and drive it down the field to punch it in giving South Holt the win 40-34 over the Jays.

Rock Port will take on the Mound City Panthers this Friday, October 22, at Blue Jay Stadium. The game begins at 7:00 p.m. This will also be Senior Night for the Jays.
