Tarkio/Westboro Ministerial Alliance to hold Christmas “Adopt-A-Child”

The Tarkio/Westboro Ministerial Alliance has launched its annual “Adopt-A-Child” Christmas program. This year, Tarkio will be handling the adoptions for Fairfax also. Applicants should apply this year through Community Services, the Tarkio First Baptist Church or Tarkio Elementary (Meghan Hughes, school nurse). The purpose of the “Adopt-a-Child” program is to provide assistance for families who have found themselves in a situation that hinders them from providing for Christmas.

Qualified families or in-dividuals may apply for adoption now through Thursday, November 11, at 12:00 noon. No applications will be taken after that date (no exceptions). You may call Community Services at 660-736-4646 or Joan at 660-253-0087 to set up an appointment for application (you must call ahead).

If you, your church, family or organization would like to adopt a child for Christmas, contact Joan at 660-623-9700 or 660-253-0087. Gifts are due back by December 13 and drop-off is at the Tarkio First Baptist Church.

If you would like more information on this program, call Joan or email her at mamachic@tarkio.net.
