The Pitch Club met October 26, 2021, at Aunt Martha’s B&B. Sharon Smith and Barbara Young substituted for our missing members. Deb Johnson won high score and as her partner, I won second high. Martha Shaffer had low score.
The round table discussion was centered around the recipe that Norma Bradfield served. It was a pumpkin dessert that was unnamed and sent to Norma by her daughter-in-law in Kansas. I called it a pumpkin combo, combining cake and pie in the same pan. Pumpkin cake was the top layer, pumpkin pie in the middle layer, and more pumpkin cake on the bottom and of course it was covered with a mountain of cool whip. Since it was sent from Kansas, that started conversation about fried green tomatoes and other Southern delicacies. I had deleted the coffee supply and left after a great afternoon of pitch and gossip.
