The East Atchison and Rock Port High School Cross Country Teams competed in the Class 1 District 4 Championship Saturday, October 30, 2021, in St. Joseph, Missouri. Seven Atchison County runners qualified for the Class 1 State Cross Country Meet to be run at Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia Saturday, November 6, 2021. The top 30 District finishers advanced. It was a very successful season for all runners and they should be congratulated for a job well done!

Boys – 5th, Daniel Lesher, 19:14.80; 9th, Cole Anderson, 19:41.40; 26th, Ian Stepp, 20:54.80; and 55th, Cowen O’Riley, 24:05.40
Girls – 7th, Jayla Irvine, 23:26.30; 23rd, Brooklyn Wennihan, 25:13.90; and Alexis Bywater, 52nd, 32:21.30
