
Dean “Beaner” Robinson, age 55, of Hamburg, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Grape Community Hospital in Hamburg.
Daryl Dean Robinson was born on July 26, 1966, in Fairfax, Missouri, the son of Buddy Leland and Beverly Ann (Ellison) Robinson. He attended Hamburg High School, graduating with the Class of 1984.
He was united in marriage to Loretta L. Nelson on August 14, 1993, in Hamburg.
Dean worked doing construction for 20 years and he was the Water Superintendent for the City of Hamburg. He had worked for the city for 23 years and received Workman of the Year in 2021. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He also loved hunting and fishing, especially his fishing trips to Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Alaska.
He is survived by his wife Loretta Robinson of Hamburg; daughter, Danielle Thompson and fiancé, Coda Romero of Beatrice, Nebraska; nieces and nephews, Marissa Robinson, Rebecca Toben (Zach), Kristina Christiansen (Josh), Jacob Watton, and Bradley Christiansen; great-nieces and nephews, Ella, Karsyn, Oakley, Mia, Soraya, Tyler, Parker, and George; numerous other loving nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; siblings, Savannah Robinson of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Marla Robinson of Fairfax, and Tom Robinson of Hamburg; brothers and sisters-in-law, Judy Rancudo (Tom) of Kansas City, Missouri, Patricia Almond of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Peggy Brightbill (Phillip) of Council Bluffs, Iowa, JoAnn Fender of Auburn, Nebraska, Terry Nelson (Terri) of Sedgwick, Iowa, Vicki Ladd (Dennis) of Hamburg, Deborah Elliston of El Dorado, Missouri, Jacquline Barrett (William) of Hamburg, Shelly Lang (Claude) of Hamburg, and Shari Whitehead (Steve) of Nebraska City, Nebraska; his work family and many friends.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Buddy and Beverly Robinson, and his mother and father-in-law, Violet and Enos Nelson.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at the Rash-Gude Funeral Home in Hamburg. The family will greet friends on Friday, February 18, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family. Remembrances may be left at www.gudefuneralhomes.com.
