The Fairfax Optimist Club sponsored a fourth grade basketball tournament Saturday, February 5, at the Fairfax high school gym. Four teams of boys participated in the morning round robin games with first place going to Rock  Port and second place to East Atchison Orange. Five teams of girls competed in an afternoon tournament. Mound City won first place and Auburn won second.
