
Ruby Darlene Lambert, the daughter of Orval and Martha (Skaggs) Volner, was born March 9, 1950, in Hartville, Missouri. Darlene attended Hartville schools.
In the early 1960s, Darlene was united in marriage to Everett Eugene Parsons and they became the parents of five children, Genie, Lonnie, Jody, Donnie, and Jennifer. They later divorced. In the late 1980s, Darlene was united in marriage to Bud Lambert and they became the parents of one son, Travis. They later divorced.
Darlene was employed by H.D. Lee Jeans Company, where she sewed jeans. She was a homemaker, raising and caring for her children before being employed by Trail’s End, Rock Port, Missouri. She worked as a waitress for 25 years, retiring in 2019.
Darlene enjoyed attending yard sales, fishing, and her dogs. She especially loved spending time with her family and hosting fun family dinners. Darlene passed away Friday, February 25, 2022, at her home in Craig, Missouri, at the age of 71.
Besides her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by children, Genie (Parsons) Perry, Jody Parsons, Travis Lambert, and Jennifer (Parsons) Junior; grandson, Garrett Parsons; and numerous siblings. Survivors include children, Lonnie Parsons and Donnie (April) Parsons, both of Watson, Missouri; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and best friend and niece, Mary Hardin.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio, Missouri. Interment was held at Center Grove Cemetery, Westboro, Missouri. Reverend Glenn Scott officiated. Services were under the direction of Davis Funeral Home, Tarkio. Memorials may be directed to the Darlene Lambert Memorial Fund for final expenses.
