Kristi McEnaney, Tarkio College Board President, cuts the ribbon at a ceremony held for Tarkio Technology Institute’s nacelle, which was donated by Invenergy, Ameren, and Vestas from the Outlaw wind energy project so that wind energy students at Tarkio Tech could use it for course hands-on training. The ceremony was held Thursday, April 28, and also recognized the companies and staff members who made this possible. The wind turbine nacelle that was donated to Tarkio Tech weighed well over 100 tons and was transported and set up on the campus with the help of the wind energy companies and Klabenes Construction LLC.
