Scott Chamberlain recently accepted a position as Senior Consultant with RER Solutions, a real estate and financial services company based in the Washington, D.C. area. Scott, a 1976 graduate of Rock Port High School, recently retired from the U.S. Army, following over 38 years of uniformed and civilian service. Scott entered active duty in 1984 and served a Combat Engineer for 21 years with multiple assignments in the United States and overseas.

Retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2005 while working in the Pentagon, he transitioned to Federal Civilian service as the Chief of the Congressional Liaison Office for the Army’s Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management. In 2009, Scott was selected as the Deputy Chief for the Secretary of the Army’s Housing office and was later promoted to Chief in 2017. In his final assignment working for the Secretary of the Army, Scott was responsible for the policy, oversight and management of the Army’s entire housing and barracks portfolio of over 102,000 homes and 340,000 barracks spaces in the United States, Germany, Korea, Italy, and Japan.

In his new position as Senior Consultant with RER Solutions, he will provide support in financial analysis, financial modeling, claims evaluation, and asset monitoring of a multi-billion-dollar housing portfolio.

Scott and his wife Irene live in Lake Frederick, Virginia, and are the parents of two sons and have three grandchildren.
