The Rock Port Park Board met Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at Rock Port City Hall.
Members present were Tisha Jackson, Jennifer Geib, Jill Lager, Andrea Cook, Tawni Ellis, Jennifer Welch, and Devon Sons.
Tisha called the meeting to order at 7:08 p.m.
Board members approved the meeting agenda, minutes of the March 9 and March 23, 2022, meetings, and the March 2022 financials.
Board members voted unanimously to hire Dakota Evans and Cali Driskell at the rate of $9.50 per hour as lifeguard subs for the 2022 pool season. They also voted to hire Jaysa Welch at the rate of $9.00 per hour as a CPR and First Aid Certified concession stand worker. (Jennifer Welch abstained from voting.)
Pool season pass rates will be the same as the 2021 season.
The target opening date for the pool will be Monday, May 30. Closing will be determined at a later date.
ACCO is scheduled to get the pool up and running for the 2022 pool season.
Board members voted, upon Country Club approval, to purchase signs to keep kids off the fence and golf course that are located by the ballfields.
Election of officers was held. Current officers are: Tisha Jackson, president; Jill Lager, vice-president; and Jennifer Geib, secretary/treasurer. Board members voted for current officers to remain in their current positions.
The board recommended Jennifer Welch, Andrea Cook, and Devon Sons be reappointed to the park board.
The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at 7:00 p.m.
