
Tommy Lee “Tom” David, age 73, Asher, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022, at St. Anthony’s Hospital, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. His death was from complications of a broken hip that caused a heart attack. He had also battled lung cancer, COPD, Parkinson’s, atrial fibrillation and congestive heart failure in recent years.
Tom was born February 6, 1949, in Mound City, Missouri. He was the son of Earl, Jr. and Betty Joan (Davis) David.
Tom graduated from Fairfax High School, Fairfax, Missouri, in the class of 1967.
Tom was united in marriage to Carolyn Davis in 1969. They were the parents of a stillborn daughter. They divorced. He was later then married to Bonnie Pierson in 1971. They divorced. In 2004 he married Linda Yates, who survives him of the home in Asher.
Tom was a truck driver and owned Northwest Scrap in Fairfax for many years. He also owned David Spray Service.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl David, and two daughters, an infant, and Michelle McGuire.
Tom is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home, Asher; mother, Betty David, Maryville, Missouri; daughter, Victoria Lager, Maryville; sons, Sean McGuire, Belton, Missouri, and Mickey McGuire, Hannibal, Missouri; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other friends and loved ones.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 12, 2022, at the Fairfax Christian Church, Fairfax, where the family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m., prior to the services. Private family inurnment will take place in English Grove Cemetery, near Fairfax. Jerry Schooler, a classmate of Tom’s, will be officiating the service. Services are under the direction of Schooler Funeral Home, Fairfax.
