Pitch Club met Tuesday, June 14, at Deb Johnson’s home in Rock Port, Missouri. Those present were Merylan Lowrey, Martha Shaffer, Vicki Smith, Sharon Smith, and Norma Bradfield with subs, Suzanne Southard and Kay Rosenbohm. Pam Cooper and Janell McQuinn were unable to attend, but were in our thoughts and prayers as both were under the weather!

After six rounds of play with lots of complaining about the cards not falling very well, high score went to Suzanne and second high was Sharon. I served as hostess and took low score for the day.

All enjoyed the refreshments of rhubarb pie and fresh fruit a la Cool Whip, perfect for the heat of the day. Our group discussion was over reunions of all kinds with no gloom or doom! While we always miss the laughter of our dear departed friends, we still are able to get a few good jokes in. So glad to be able to gather with good friends (new or old) and throw a few cards around the tables.
