Don’t miss out on the WingNuts Flying Circus Fly-In and Air Show this Saturday, July 9, at the Gould Peterson Municipal Airport east of Tarkio. A breakfast will kick things off at 7:30 a.m. and the air show begins at 12:00 noon. Route O leading to the airport will be closed for the air show, so be sure to get there early.

Thank you to the Atchison County Library and its many volunteers who once again put on a fantastic Summer Reading Program. There is always an “Ocean of Possibilities” to be found at the library.

The Rock Port Fire Department put on a great fireworks display at the city park. Thank you to all the volunteers who also provided a fun-filled day of activities for all ages.

The Tarkio Parks and Recreation Department is currently raising funds for a baseball bleacher/field project at the city ball field. The goal is $60,000. If you would like to donate, please make your checks payable to the City of Tarkio and be sure to put in the memo line “bleacher/field project” and mail them or drop them off at Tarkio City Hall, 602 Main Street, Tarkio, MO 64491.
