Since 2013, the Business Improvement (BI) Grant has leveraged sales tax dollars to assist Atchison County businesses as they invest in themselves by upgrading infrastructure, enhancing facades, purchasing specialized equipment, and more. The BI grant process has been streamlined to a single application that includes both grant options:

BASIC: 50/50 reimbursable matching grant ($1,000 max on a $2,000+ project)

2.0: 1/3-2/3 reimbursable matching grant ($2,500 max on a $7,500+ project)

Out of the $20,000 allotted to the 2022 program, over $6,500 is still available. Applications are accepted via mail only (ACDC, P.O. Box 243, Rock Port, MO 64482). Eligible projects must be approved prior to beginning work. Completed applications (including vendor bids and project estimates) will be considered by the grant committee in the order they are received. Applications will be accepted until all funds have been awarded.
