The Tarkio Parks & Recreation Board and the City of Tarkio held a groundbreaking for their bleacher project at the Tarkio City Ball Field Friday, August 19, 2022. A total of $20,322 has been raised so far. The City of Tarkio Parks & Recreation Board is currently raising funds to renovate the bleachers at the city’s ball field. A total of $60,000 is needed. So far, $20,322 has been raised. The largest contributor to the project will earn the honor of throwing out the first pitch at the first home game of the 2023 East Atchison Wolves’ High School Baseball season.

Donations may be sent to Tarkio City Hall, 602 Main Street, Tarkio, MO 64491 (put baseball bleacher project on the memo line) or Venmo @tarkio-park. The board is holding a number of fundraisers and events, including a ‘Par’K 3 Golf Tournament August 27 and Friendship Day September 24, 2022.
