A number of Atchison County youth showed livestock at the Missouri State Fair.

The Rock Port FFA Chapter also had exhibits: Plants, Class 310 (soybeans, bundle of 3 stalks, root off, current year’s crop), four gold ribbons; Plants, Class 300 (cornstalks, bundle of 3 stalks, current year’s crop), three gold ribbons; Decorative Household Items (medium cutting boards – signs, gold ribbon.

Missouri Governor Mike Parson congratulates Kierra McDonald of Fairfax, Missouri. Kierra showed three market lambs, all receiving silver ribbons, and received second place in class in the Lamb Carcass – Open, Class 234. She also showed a crossbred heifer and FFA angus heifer, which each received a gold ribbon.

Brooklyn Wennihan of Tarkio, Missouri, showed a spot gilt and poland in the swine show at the Missouri State Fair. The spot gilt placed 3rd in its class in the FFA show and the open show. She made the Spot Sale and sold to a new owner. Brooklyn also showed Reba the Poland. Reba placed 1st in the February born FFA class and 1st in the February born Open Show class. Nash Schomburg received the Missouri State Fair Foundation’s First-Time Exhibitor Grant. He was sponsored by BTC Bank. Nash received second place in the class with his heifer Cola, and fourth in the class with his steer RC.

Stevie Gaines showed her heifer May and received 3rd place in the class. This was Stevie’s first time showing at the Missouri State Fair.

Raylynn Jenkins placed 4th in the 4-H Market Heifer Show at the Missouri State Fair and received a gold ribbon.

Rylee Jenkins showed an FFA Heifer at the Missouri State Fair and received a gold ribbon.

Keaton Williams, pictured at the Atchison County Fair, showed a spotted barrow at the Missouri State Fair and received a gold ribbon.

Charlie Smith, Fairfax, Missouri, pictured at the Atchison County Fair, showed four goats at the Missouri State Fair.
