Tate Johnson stops the Thunder’s forward motion with a Wolf tackle.

EA Wolf Weston Klosek walks into the endzone for a touchdown. Unfortunately, it was called back.

The thundering herd of Nodaway Valley (the athletic co-op of West Nodaway and Nodaway-Holt) was taken down by the East Atchison Wolves varsity football team Friday, September 2, 2022, in Burlington Junction, Missouri. The Wolves won the game 64-6.

With everyone on the ready, it didn’t take long for the Wolves to dominate the game on both sides of the ball. The offense, on the legs of Jarrett Spinnato, was able to move the ball freely and at will. Spinnato scored six touchdowns and one two-point conversion. Blake Simmons also scored three touchdowns and four two-point conversions. Wolves Charlie Litherbury and Weston Klosek led the defense in shutting down the Thunder offense. The only Thunder score came off a rare offensive mistake.

This week, the Wolves travel to Oregon, Missouri, to face the Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2022.
