Ava Miles of Kansas City, Missouri, played on the first ever 15U Adidas 3SSB National Basketball Championship team. This talented group of 14U girls played up in the 15U Adidas 3SSB Circuit. The team, Della Lamb, traveled from coast to coast ending in Ladera Ranch, California, where they claimed their title as national champions. The girls ended their eighth grade summer with a record of 38-3 and a circuit record of 11-1. Ava was also named an Adidas All American.

Ava is the daughter of Bridget and Duane Smith and John Miles and granddaughter of Robert and Susie Staashelm. She is the great-granddaughter of Carolyn and Frank Staashelm of Westboro, Missouri.
