The annual meeting of the Atchison County Farm Bureau was held Wednesday, September 7, at Ag Partners Cooperative’s new grain storage facility in Tarkio, Missouri. Nearly 60 members and guests enjoyed a meal provided by Farm Bureau and served by the Tarkio FFA Chapter.
In addition to conducting their annual business meeting, Atchison County Farm Bureau welcomed remarks from Rusty Black, Missouri State Representative and candidate for Missouri Senate, and Meredith Lange, Missouri Farm Bureau Northwest Regional Coordinator.
The program was provided by Gary Henson of Ag Partners Cooperative. Gary shared information about the new three million bushel grain storage facility, which is scheduled to open in a few weeks. Gary noted the technology that will allow him and his staff to monitor the grain quality and ventilation remotely, in addition to visiting with guests about the construction process and the new route trucks will use for weighing, unloading and/or loading grain.
