Vickie Ann Montgomery, age 73, Mound City, Missouri, died Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Community Hospital-Fairfax, Fairfax, Missouri.

Vickie was born February 24, 1949, in Falls City, Nebraska, the daughter of the late Roy and Leona (Barker) Haer.

She was a graduate of Craig High School, Craig, Missouri, class of 1967.

Vickie was united in marriage to Jack Montgomery on April 20, 1979. Jack preceded her in death in 1998.

Vickie had worked for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City where she was in the accounting department. She then moved closer to home and started work as a dietary aide. Vickie had worked in both the dietary and housekeeping departments for Community Hospital-Fairfax. Before her retirement she was employed by Tiffany Heights Care Center, Mound City, where she worked in dietary.

Vickie was a member of the former Craig Presbyterian Church. Most recently she attended the Presbyterian lead services at Sharp’s Grove Methodist Church, near Craig.

Her hobbies included reading and doing puzzle books, spending time with family, especially her grandkids, and loving her favorite drink, Coca-Cola.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; son, Anthony “Tony” Moulatino; brothers, James and Vernon Haer; and sisters, Ramona Rhoades and Madonna Thurnau.

Survivors include her daughter, Megan (Wes) Twyman, Shubert, Nebraska; sons, Carter (Jessie) Montgomery, Falls City, Nebraska, and Clark (Amanda) Montgomery, St. Joseph, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Tylar, Holly and Jordan Twyman, Shubert, Arie and Jett Montgomery, Falls City, and Abigail and Walker Montgomery, St. Joseph, Missouri; one great-grandson, Graycen Palmer; and nieces, nephews and a host of other friends and loved ones.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at the Sharp’s Grove United Methodist Church, Craig. Burial was in the IOOF Cemetery, Craig.
